Boston Early Music Festival's Director of Community Engagement Nina Stern partners with teaching artists from S’Cool Sounds (U.S. and Kenya), the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, and Brazilian organizations NEOJIBA, Alunos da Orquestra da Grota, and Projeto Musica no Bairro/ Dorcas to engage their young students with songs from these many traditions, each interpreting them in their own ways, performing them for each other, and for you.
- Make sure your audio sounds good. If your microphone isn’t working well, your viewers will leave, or may simply be unable to understand what you’re saying. Bad audio is worse than bad video.
- Think about your lighting. Natural light is best, so windows are your friend.
- Keep the background of your shot uncluttered.
- Try to get your camera even with your face.
